Set up two-factor auth
Add a second login step. We recommend an authenticator app over SMS — it's faster and a lot harder to phish.
What it is
Multi-factor auth adds a second login step on top of your password. TrueSay supports authenticator apps (TOTP), SMS, and security keys (WebAuthn / passkeys). We strongly recommend an authenticator app or a passkey — SMS works but is the weakest of the three.
How to use it
Open Settings → Security → Two-factor auth. Tap Add method. Pick Authenticator app, Security key / passkey, or SMS.
For an authenticator app: scan the QR with 1Password / Authy / Google Authenticator / Apple Passwords, then enter the 6-digit code to verify. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe — we show them once.
Test it: log out and log back in. You should be asked for the second step. If you've added a passkey, login becomes a single-tap on Touch ID / Face ID / your device PIN.
Why it matters
Account takeovers on social platforms are mostly password reuse plus SIM-swap. MFA blocks the password-reuse path; passkeys block the SIM- swap path too. Honestly, set it up now — it takes two minutes and the peace of mind is real.
