Community Guidelines
The standards that keep TrueSay a space for authentic expression.
Last updated: February 2026
Our Principles
TrueSay is built on three principles: respect for people, commitment to authenticity, and dedication to safety. These guidelines exist to protect real conversation — not to police opinions. We welcome diverse perspectives and spirited debate. We draw the line at behavior that harms people or degrades the community.
What We Encourage
TrueSay is at its best when people share genuinely. We encourage:
- Authentic self-expression — your real thoughts, in your real voice
- Constructive conversation — disagree respectfully, engage thoughtfully
- Creative content — art, photography, music, writing, and storytelling
- Community building — groups, events, and collaborative projects
- Supporting others — amplify voices, share perspectives, build connections
What We Don't Allow
The following content and behavior violate our community standards and will result in moderation action:
- Hate speech — content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Harassment and bullying — targeted abuse, threats, intimidation, or doxxing
- Violence — threats of violence, glorification of violence, or graphic violent content
- Spam and manipulation — bot behavior, fake engagement, deceptive content, or scam links
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person, brand, or organization
- Illegal content — content that violates applicable laws, including CSAM (zero tolerance)
- Misinformation — deliberately false claims that could cause real-world harm
- Nudity and sexual content — explicit sexual content or non-consensual intimate imagery
How Moderation Works
TrueSay uses a combination of TrueSay AI and human review to enforce these guidelines. AI screens content in real time and flags violations. Human moderators review borderline cases and appeals. Every moderation action is logged, and you'll always be told why your content was affected.
Enforcement
We use a progressive enforcement model designed to be fair:
- First violation — Warning with explanation
- Second violation — Temporary restriction on posting or messaging
- Repeated violations — Account suspension with appeal option
- Severe violations — Immediate suspension (threats, CSAM, illegal activity)
- All actions can be appealed through the in-app appeals process
How to Report
If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it. Tap the menu icon (⋯) on any post, comment, profile, or conversation and select Report. Choose a category, add optional details, and submit. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also block users instantly from the same menu.
