Delete your account

You can delete your TrueSay account at any time. This page explains how, what gets removed, and how to request deletion if you can't sign in.

Delete from inside the app

The fastest way is to delete your account from inside TrueSay — no email, no wait.

  1. Open TrueSay on the web, iOS, or Android.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm.

If you can't sign in

Lost access to your email, phone, or password? Send us a deletion request and we'll verify and remove your account.

Email privacy@truesay.ai with the subject "Account deletion request" and include the email address or @username the account is registered under.

We reply within 3 business days. We may ask for a recovery-code or prior-device signal before deleting, to protect against impersonation.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (username, bio, avatar, cover, location).
  • Every post, comment, bookmark, reaction, DM, and voice message you've created.
  • Followers / following, blocked-user lists, muted words.
  • Uploaded media in Storage (photos, videos, audio, attachments).
  • Your authentication record (email, password hash, OAuth links).

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You cannot reactivate; you can always sign up again with a new account.

Some records may be retained for up to 30 days in backups and abuse/ legal-hold logs, consistent with our Privacy Policy. These records are inaccessible to TrueSay staff for routine use and are purged on a rolling basis.
